The A Tutta Jersey is built using our new Competizione 2 base jersey. We’ve updated the construction with the side panels that finish in the pockets. We’ve updated the fabrics so that the back doesn’t stretch too long when you load up the pockets. And we’ve updated the sleeve fabric as well as the fit, maintaining super-stretchy fabrics for a great fit on any body shape without feeling too tight. We’ve given the A Tutta Jersey a fade effect built of diamond shapes that highlights the texture of the fabrics and the cut of the jersey. The ideal tight for most of your winter riding, the Velocissimo is focused on comfort for riding in mild to cool conditions. We've used our Thermoflex fabric for most of the tight. It's not our warmest fabric, nor does it repel water like Nano Flex, but it is the softest, stretchiest winter tight fabric. The comfort is immediate and lasting. For the lower leg from just below the knee, we switch to our Nano Flex fleeced stretch-woven fabric that's both warm and highly water repellent for protection against spray coming off wet roads. It's also highly stretchy, and we leave a raw edge so we can construct the ankles without zippers while making sure the tight remains easy to put on and take off. This glove was designed for long-distance rides, with extra padding in the palm and premium materials throughout. NOT YOUR OLD-STYLE WIND JACKET If you're like us, there's a reason you're not using your old-style wind jacket more. With waterproof jackets like the Idro being lighter and more compact than ever, we felt it was time to reinvent a classic. In reality, the Aria Jacket is very different from your flappy old jacket that either didn't protect you or didn't breathe. This jacket is an impossibly light layer that keeps the wind off the front of your body while allowing ample breathability through the mesh side panels. THE FIRST AERO JERSEY PROJECT WAS CALLED SPLIT SECOND When Castelli engineered the first aero jersey for road racing back in 2006, everyone thought we were crazy. Back then, aero was only for TTs. Performance clothing meant moisture management. And you could win the Tour de France with a baggy jersey that was little more than a polyester T-shirt. Even our aerodynamic consultants expected limited gains, so we named the jersey Split Second, though, like now, we thought even small gains were worth pursuing. In the end the gains were pretty substantial, and we completely revolutionized the look of the pro peloton. We're now on the sixth major revision of our aero jersey. Each generation has become more aero and better fitting. The Aero Race W Jersey benefits heavily from CFD analysis of wake flow in the riding position for fabric and seam placement. It also benefits from pro riders' feedback, as we've worked to make the jersey comfortable for their long hours of training and then racing in every possible weather condition. It's our most aero and most comfortable Aero Race Jersey yet. The Maison jersey graphic dips into traditional fashion fabric designs, from houndstooth to paisley to a stylized glen plaid. The Entrata Thermal Glove focuses on the essential elements of a winter cycling glove. We made the outer layer both windproof for warmth and stretchy for comfort.
