Details

Breezer Uptown 8 is a perfect specimen of a town bike. Its lightweight aluminum frame features Joe Breezer’s famous geometry magic for a superb ride, and 26-inch puncture-resistant reflective tires deftly handle the urban landscape and help you stay visible to traffic. Keep the elements out while shifting through 8 speeds with an internally geared Shimano rear hub, while the front Dynamo hub powers the Busch & Muller light set for automatic safety that’s always available, and that you never have to remember to charge. A pair of fenders and a fully enclosed chaincase keep you and your drivetrain clean, while a rear rack and integrated frame lock make this bike commuter-savvy. With all that smart functionality paired with Uptown’s incredibly comfortable ride, you’ll take one spin around the block on the Uptown and never look back.

    Comments:

Very much in the Dutch/British model, this bike works great for me in this area. I've had mine for almost four years, riding 3 miles to work each way sometimes or taking day trips in the area. With some panniers, it's been great for light shopping and commuting. It's geared to be able to go up hills pretty well, but it isn't set up to go real fast. That's fine by me.

      Comments:

The ride is super plush. Picks up speed fast. The 8th gear feels like a 24 speed bike on the final gear. Feels like an 18 MPH ride without breaking a sweat. Lights come on automatically and stay on while coming to a stop. This bike is perfect.
