Pure fun, yet still competitive enough for cyclocross or gravel. The raised bottom bracket and geometry guarantees performance both in crits as well as on the track. The cantilever brake studs are removable to create a single speed with brakes or pure fixie. Internal cable routing for the rear brake. The geometry has a high bottom bracket and is aggressive by nature. The frame has removable cantilever brake studs, so the bike can be ridden as a clean fixed gear, or as a single speed with brakes. Anyone that thinks this is just about an updated colorway, surely haven't grasped what lies beneath. A geometry that satisfies the needs of riders who love to plunge straight into the tightest of curves, quickly changing direction in sudden slaloms, a high performance track machine. This frame is the new version of the 'Histogram' graphics created by Garrett Chow, from MASH SF. In addition the bottom bracket height has been raised.
The update of the incredibly successful Parallax line designed by Garrett Chow basing the design on the Mash 10th anniversary celebratory frameset with inverted colorway. Cyanotype is the printing process used in the 20th century for architectural designs and blueprints, these colors and shapes were used for inspiration of the new design. An advanced urban track frameset for those with discerning tastes. Innovative seat and steering tubes angles, shorter stays and 28mm rake fork: a thoroughbred waiting to be tamed. The extremely reactive geometry minimizes energy dispersion, and the raised bottom bracket allows continuous pedaling through every curve.
$899.00 - $1,699.95
Perfectly suited for both ultra cycling races as well as for city use, the frame and fork are made of Columbus Cromor triple butted tubing. Increased wheel clearance allows the assembly of the fenders and tires up to 40mm to tackle any terrain with confidence, also in the darkness due to reflective bands. Shimano Deore 9-Speed group to easily overcome the steepest of climbs with heavy panniers. Tubus carriers can haul up to 40kg of load in the rear and 18 kg in the front. The triple butted Columbus Cromor tubes undergo a special anti-corrosion treatment internally and externally to provide total protection against the elements. Cable routing above the top tube protects the cables from mud and dirt. Rugged bar end shifter is less prone to damage with respect to integrated shifter brake. In the event of poor shifting, the bar end shifter can switch from index to manual shifting to ensure clean shifts at all times.
A frame that built with long-distance comfort and endurance racing in mind. The Columbus monocoque fork insures sharp handling and steering accuracy. Suitable for the advanced amateur rider, the comfortable, compact sloping geometry will see you through the toughest of Sportives and other events. Also available in size XS, perfect for riders with standover height issues. The top tube is reinforced at the edges and is thinner at the centre, just like the bones of a human skeleton. This principle reduces the weight of the bike without compromising its strength. The new 1-1/8” – 1-1/4” oversized head tube increases the stiffness in the front part of the frame. The curvature of the rear seat stays continues into the top tube, giving continuity to the carbon fibres, improving lamination and achieving progressive flexion control for a more fluid and safe ride. The joints of the frame are the zones subjected to the most strain when the bike is being ridden. The bottom bracket area is a good example. These areas are dimensioned to minimise the forces acting on the frame, extending its life and increasing its reliability.
