Based in Van Nuys, California, Easton is one of the world's premier bicycle component manufacturers. From handlebars and stems, to forks and wheels, and most everything in between, you're sure to find a product you'll love in their wide range of parts and accessories. Every item that bears the Easton name has been designed by passionate engineers and tested by some of the peloton's best cyclists.
The company was founded as an arrow shaft manufacturer in 1922 by Doug Easton, one of the first people to use aluminum for sports applications. Over the years, Easton built a strong reputation for excellence in other sports such as hockey and baseball and eventually entered the cycling arena in 1989 when they released the TaperLite butted-aluminum mountain bike handlebar. A year later they opened the Easton Sports Lab to ensure that every Easton product is as light, stiff, durable and technically advanced as possible. The lab has helped them stay on the cutting edge of cycling, allowing them to experiment with materials and designs that other companies shy away from.
They introduced their first carbon-fiber handlebar in 1998 and have been an industry leader in the use of carbon nanotubes, which they first unveiled in 2005. Carbon nanotubes are one of the smallest molecular structures known to man and Easton uses them to enhance the strength and lower the weight of their high-end carbon products. Other Easton innovations include magnesium stems, molded-carbon seatpost heads as well as bar-end- and aerobar-compatible carbon handlebars. They're also one of the industry's biggest suppliers of aluminum frame tubing.
Easton spends countless hours designing the products you need for your bike to make sure they're some of the best around. Their wheels cut through the wind for minimal drag, their handlebars offer precision handling, their forks provide a sublime ride and every other item they produce delivers best-in-class function. We wouldn't think about going for a ride without some Easton components adorning our rig and neither should you. So come by the shop soon and pick out the Easton products you want for your dream bike!
